Morehouse Pineapple Ham Glaze

Ingredients

  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Morehouse mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pineapple juice
  • Optional: ½ tsp garlic powder for added depth
  • Optional: A pinch of red pepper flakes or cayenne for a hint of heat

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the pineapple juice and simmer until reduced by half.
  2. Add the brown sugar, honey, Morehouse mustard, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes or cayenne (if using) to the reduced pineapple juice, stirring until the sugar dissolves and the glaze is smooth.
  3. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until the glaze thickens slightly.
  4. Brush over ham during the last 20-30 minutes of baking for a beautifully caramelized finish. Enjoy!
