Atomic Shrimp Cocktail
Ingredients
Shrimp
- 24 large raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Cayenne pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh parsley
Atomic Cocktail Sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp Atomic Horseradish
- 1 tsp lime juice
- ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- ½ tsp hot sauce (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Season the Shrimp
- In a bowl, toss shrimp with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne.
2. Sauté the Shrimp
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until opaque and lightly golden.
- Sprinkle parsley over the shrimp and toss briefly.
- Transfer shrimp to a plate and place in the fridge to chill.
3. Make the Atomic Cocktail Sauce
- In a bowl, mix ketchup, Atomic Horseradish, lime juice, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce (if using), and salt.
- Taste and adjust horseradish for more heat.
4. Assemble & Serve
- Divide cocktail sauce into serving bowls or martini glasses.
- Arrange chilled shrimp around the rim or serve on a platter.
